A Brief History of the Vineyard Movement (La Vina)
In 1974, after working as associate pastor of the Calvary Chapel Church in Costa Mesa, California, and have planted a church called Jesus Chapel in El Paso, Texas and Kenn Joanie Gulliksen moved to Los Angeles, California, to begin a Ministry that had been in his heart for years. Starting as a Bible study, the group grew rapidly and became a church. In a prophetic manner God gave them the name of the vineyard (Vineyard). The Bible tells us that the Lord desired that the people of Israel would be his vineyard and to produce much fruit, most know that they failed. Now God was putting the same expectation of this new movement. In the following years, literally thousands received Jesus through the Ministry of that Church.
God worked with his grace through people who took risks to be more like Jesus and to communicate the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. Several couples came out and began other wineries in California that grew rapidly and giving priority to praise, personal relationships, health, training and giving.
In the spring of 1982, John Wimber, who is considered the father and founder of the vineyard, along with other pastors movement, guided their churches to La Viña to be part of this movement. The Lord called to John Wimber to be the leader of the shepherds of the vine and to train and motivate them to achieve what God had given them. As a result, the vine has touched and blessed many churches around the world. There are more than 1,200 churches Winery in the United States, in Latin America, Europe, Asia and many other parts of the world.
The Mission of the movement vineyard (Vineyard) is to participate in the advancement of the Kingdom of God through the local churches that communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in words and works.

What do we Believe in
We believe in the true and living God, creator and Lord of the heavens and the Earth. We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, of a substance, equal in power and eternity: Dios Padre, Dios Hijo, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, the Messiah, the only mediator between God and man. There is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a life without sin in perfect obedience to the father, and he was crucified for our sins. He suffered, died and was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day. As God and man, Jesucristo ascended to the heavens and now is seated at the right hand of the father interceding for his own. With his coming and Ministry, Jesucristo opened the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who was sent of the father and the son to bring conviction of sin into the world, justice, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower the Ministry for every believer in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and is our helper, teacher and guide. We believe in the present Ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the spirit.
We believe that as human beings we are sinners by nature and by choice and were under condemnation. We are now counted as righteous before God only by the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in whom we have salvation through faith and not by works.
We believe that we have been born again by the feedback in the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us producing faith, Holiness, love and power.
We believe that the Bible was inspired by God, it is inerrant, infallible and authoritative. We believe that the Scriptures are our only rule of faith and conduct.
We believe that the Church was created by God to be a community of praise of the believers, where you can practice the Ordinances of Christ, is governed by its law, where spiritual gifts are practised, have privileges and discipline by his word and the Holy Spirit, and is the means to proclaim the truth and establish the Kingdom of God on Earth.
We believe that Jesus Christ established two Ordinances for your church: water baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that water baptism is for all those who have put their faith in Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that the Lord's Supper is for all believers. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the Lord's Supper nourishes our souls. It brings to our memory Christ's sacrifice for our sins, our communion with Christ, his second coming, and our obligation to persevere in faith and Holiness until the end.
We believe in the second coming of Christ, which will be personal and visible and for the purpose of consummating his Kingdom.
We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final and judgment in the eternal blessing to the sons of God in heaven and eternal suffering in hell for those who rejected him.
